Dr. Leroy A. Daley
Pastor Leroy Daley is the product of his grandmother’s home-training, an SDA Education
from High School to the Graduate level, and his relationship with Jesus Christ through
the Holy Spirit.
He was attracted to the SDA church through our Health Message, while attending
Harrison Memorial High School in Montego Bay, Jamaica, WI. His early Pastoral
Ministry was in the West Jamaica Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists. He was also ordained there. He has been
pastoring for over 43 years in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He graduated from
Northern Caribbean University, with a Bachelor’s degree in theology; from Andrews
University with a Master of Divinity degree; and from Drew University, with a Doctor of
Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling.
Pastor Daley is a down-to-earth person, loves people and gets along well with them. He
likes to make people laugh. He relishes the opportunity to challenge them to find their
God-given BIG DREAM and to step out into a bigger world. He enjoys ministry and
considers it to be a great privilege and an awesome responsibility! Pastor Daley believes
that ministry should be intentional, innovative, and contemporary, without compromise.
Like the Apostle Paul, Pastor believes that we should become all things to all men, so that
we might win some for Christ. (1 Cor. 9:19-23).
Pastor Daley is a Certified Family Life Educator. He has pastored several churches in the
Northeastern Conference of SDA and served as Personal Ministries Director of NEC.
God also empowered him to serve with distinction as NEC Health Ministries’ Director
for thirteen years. As a Pastor, he not only ministered to the spiritual needs of his members and community,
but also to their socio-economic needs. He organized Immigration and Income Tax
Preparation Workshops, Computer Literacy Classes, Small Business Workshops and
Family-Life and Financial Enrichment Seminars. He realized that financial issues have a
profound effect on his members’ quality of life. So, he co-authored the book, “The
Sanctuary Financial System,” which helps his readers to get out of the slavery of debt.
As Health Ministries Director, his vision was to make New York a World-wide Symbol
of how trusting God and living in obedience to the Eight Natural Laws of Health can give
one the best quality of life. Practicing these laws helps one to live long and strong. To
help fulfil this God-given vision, God enabled him to train and deploy an army of over
2,200 well-trained, Gospel Medical Missionaries/Natural Lifestyle Health Educators.
Before the pandemic they conducted about 30 educational Health Expos annually in New
York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and internationally. God has opened the door for them
to minister to some of the largest Non-Adventist churches, public schools, government,
and business organizations. They do vegan/vegetarian cooking classes and weekend
health, healing, and restoration seminars and virtual Trainings. They lead people to Jesus
and His Remnant Church. There have baptisms as a result of this Health Ministry.
With the support of the previous Northeastern Conference Administrators, he has been
instrumental in conducting a Wellness Retreat for Pastors and their spouses and in
establishing the Victory Wellness Center, in Hyde Park, New York. At this Center people
went to Rest, Relax and Detox.
Pastor Daley has developed many practical and useful resources for Health Ministries
leaders and Gospel Medical Missionaries/Natural Lifestyle Health Educators. These
include, The Health Leaders’ Workbook, Week of Wellness Evangelism (WWE); a
blueprint for Advent Community Wellness Centers (in churches or homes), the Daniel’s
Health Challenge, Level One and Two 10 Day Medical Missionary Trainings, and a long
Distant Level 1 Medical Missionary Training program. Praise God! Pastor Daley
passionately believes that with God’s help, he is able to transfer this experience to
enhance the ministry of the Goshen Temple of SDA.
God has blessed him with a beautiful wife, Sherolin, they have been married for over 41
years. She has been an inspiration to him and a faithful partner in ministry. Sherolin is a
retired Director of Nursing and presently works from home in a Natural Health Education
Business. She conducts large vegetarian/vegan cooking schools.
God has blessed Pastor and Sister Daley with 2 adult children, Darren, and Dana, a lovely
daughter-in-law, Karen and 3 grandsons. He had the joy of baptizing his three grandsons
in July 2021. Praise God!
Pastor Daley has been an active sports person. His favorite sports are tennis, table tennis,
lovely cricket and socker. He still plays tennis and table tennis when possible.
His favorite SDA song is “Higher Ground” and Scripture, “I can do
all things through Christ who gives me the strength.” Some of his favorite sayings are,
“If your intention is clear, the way will appear.” “If you can imagine it, you can do it. And God can do far more than you
can imagine.” “If you know your WHY, the HOW to do it will appear.” “Problems are the
Breakfast for Champions.” “The bigger the problem you solve, the more valuable you
become.” “Problems are possibilities.” “Obstacles are opportunities.” “The best is yet to
come!”
Pastor Daley, through divine intervention is now the pastor of a thriving Virtual Church.
It is called the Healing of the Nations Virtual Ministry. Its main goal is to use the Health
Message to point sin-sick men and women to Jesus, the Divine Healer of body, mind and
spirit.
His prayer is that every Member will become a Gospel Medical Missionary/Natural
Lifestyle Health Educator and the Church a Medical Missionary Center. Through this
ministry, God will lessen the suffering in our world, point men and women to Jesus, the
Divine Healer of body, mind and spirit and be ready for His soon coming. As a pastor,
the three most important things to him are: 1. Every member must be ready at any time
to meet Jesus whether at death or His Second Coming. 2. We must practice loving one
another as Jesus loves us. 3. Each member should find a way to systematically participate
in sharing his/her faith in Jesus with others– Total Membership Evangelism.
His prayer and passion is that Goshen Temple SDA will become the Church
Unusual and not as usual, by His Spirit.
